New Album (News Paper Review)
DATE: 03/03/2011 09:12:39 / MOOD: Content
Tasha Turner of Turners Gospel Bluegrass is happy to announce her first
solo project “Hey It’ A Beautiful Day” will be available this weekend
during Bean Fest . The CD was recorded at Raney’s Recording Studio in
Drasco, Arkansas. Tasha has spent all summer long working on it with
some her good friends. Tasha’s album is featuring 11 of the songs she
has written with a 12th bonus tune written by her little Brother Titus
Turner better known as Rattler. Tasha feels so honor to have a couple
members from her favorite band “Mountain Heart” to play on a few songs
as well. Josh Shilling from Bassett Va, who now resides in Nashville
Tn. played piano, and Aaron Ramsey from Morganton NC, played banjo on
this project. Tasha is very happy to say these two musicians were almost
thrilled when she ask them to be apart of her album. She also had
Timmy Crouch from Strawberry Arkansas to play fiddle, mandolin,
guitar, and a few other instruments . Along with 2009-2010 state Dobro
player of Mississippi Tim Hathorn from Hattiesburg Ms. . Tasha didn’t
want to leave her family out of this project either so she ask her
brother Titus Turner to play some mandolin and father Garry Turner to
do some bass. Her harmony singers on this project was Jaquita Lindsey
from Bryant Arkansas, Tonya Hewttie from Cleveland Mississippi, who
now lives in Batesville, Arkansas and the Larry Nelson Family from
Clinton Arkansas. Tasha and her family will be out this Saturday during
Bean Fest with the new album if you want to come by and pick one up.
She will also have them available on her web site at www.tashaturner.webs.com
if you would like to get one there. In closing, Tasha would like to
give a special thank you to her family , friends and fans, for all of
the encouragement and support she has had during this year. Without
everyone helping this album would have not been possible so thank you
all so very much, it is well appreciated!

Bluegrass Thanksgiving
DATE: 12/27/2008 10:34:47 / MOOD: Grassy
This year I had a really cool thanks giving. My family and I got to spend it with Little Roy Lewis, his foster daughter Lizzy Long and last but not lest Bluegrass Legend Earl Scruggs in a small town in Ga. It was so much fun to get to do that again. Earl is such a nice person and he has played better then I have ever heard him play live then. I really enjoyed the jams with them. My sister got the chance of a life time to play on stage with Earl, Lizzy invited her up to play a picking with her since they needed a guitar player. My sister is a pretty hot picker and loves playing so much. She was so excited when she got to pick with them. Since then we have become great friends with Earl, starting to know him better as a person and I have to say them people are some fine folks out there. I really enjoyed the jams at Little Roy's wow! what some great music!!!!!

IBMA Bluegrass Fired up!!!!
DATE: 08/12/2008 20:38:02 / MOOD: Happy
Well Been counting the days down till I get to be back in the fine City of Nashville. Looking forward to the ibma seeing and meeting new people and just having a blast in Bluegrass. I heard Vince Gill is going to be singing at fan fest and can't wait till then, I have always enjoyed hearing Vince do his style of Bluegrass. What a voice God has blessed him with. It seems I have been so busy with shows that I hadn't got a chance to really jam like I'd like to. Right before a Church Concert a good friend who has helped me along with the fiddle called wanting to jam on the square, Well I hated to but had to turn him down. I hope we get to jam some thought before the year is up. If he was only at the IBMA him and his other friend would not go home , I know by heart they'd be in heaven. But again, I might lose him to a group, he is some pretty good coming on fiddle player in bluegrass. I can't miss playing twin fiddles with him when we jam something that is so fun and sounds so cool. I also, hope Lizzy long wins a award this year to . It would help her out so much. Also, I am cheering for Carrie and Hard Rain to. I hope she gets vocalist of the year. She's got a great voice and no doubt since she is a up coming artist she needs to win award or to as well. I am always to the most part hoping for the best in the up coming.....It's going to be great this year !!!!!!
