Through lifes journey
DATE: 06/02/2008 04:16:50 / MOOD: happy

Through lifes journey, I trip and I fall

But you are there, and hear my every call

Lord, grant me wisdom and let mine eyes see

For in your bosom, I will rest with thee

Talents thee has given me, family, to them I lean

The fiddle I will play for thee, Proud, will my family be

To serve you oh Lord, is an honor to be earned

I only pray for, thy will I shall learn

I call upon your Holy name, as a young child

To resist fortune and fame, reserved your servant, meek and mild

Oh God I cry, please help me through the day,

How hard I try, without you, I become satan's prey

Hopeless is my effort, a mortal, sinful nature

Others only reach for it, but in you, they wont nurture

Humble me oh God, for I can't go any farther

I long to be like Lot, who couldn't live if it were any harder

I cry out to you alone, my search is yet not over

To you I talk at home, To you, I hand my life over

You have opened my spiritual eyes, I saw the darkness of hell

Though young with mortal eyes, in your love, I was well

Many countries I may see, all the people I will meet

A wittness to you I will be, just to reach heaven and wash your Holy feet

Oh Lord I pray...........Psalms 1:1

Open Arms
DATE: 06/02/2008 04:16:00 / MOOD: happy

I've walked through the darkness Lord,

I've walked through the lighted world,

Though wide I've walked my path Lord,

Narrow's the way found within your word,

The darkness shows me sadness Lord,

Away from your arms I am scorn,

I've opened the door, I've let you in,

I'm so happy Lord, you dwell within,

My eyes fill with tears, with happinss they fall,

For with every  blessing and need I call,

To you oh Lord, you've become my all,

I lift my eyes, the stars I do see,

All alone, to you I plea,

You comfort me, you settle my spirit,

I will rejoice, your name I gladly bear it,

Lord let me sleep, let me rest,

Once I've finished, giving you my best.

Rays so golden
DATE: 04/30/2008 04:56:14 / MOOD: happy

A slight warming sensation is felt as the sun shines in glory. Ah........ the sweet sound of sparrows inviting all who dwells within, to come and partake in the birth of this beautiful new day. Rolling out from beneath the sheets, the cool mountain air quickly puts coffee out of the question. Dressed and ready for the day, fishing drifts into mind and suddenly, morning has been planned. With fishing caps on, poles in hand and a grown over path to follow, the two make their way to the lake. Finally, the lake is in view and evident that it is still in deep slumber. For a thick fog covers the still waters, with not a sound in the air. Time to sit down and have a break one says. As they search for some soft moss they spot a Dow and her fawn silently drinking from that crystal lake. Peace and tranquility is upon this corner of the earth. They decide to go and explore instead of disturbing that peaceful scene. To their surprise they find a quietly babbling brook that leads into a softly rolling waterfall with plenty of river stones to traverse. A roar is heard off in the distance, they look up to see a black bear up the brook a little way. Might be a good time step back and give him his space the other one says. They back off a few feet and watch this beautiful animal as he feeds.

Fall so golden
DATE: 04/30/2008 04:54:50 / MOOD: happy

A house on the massive bluff overlooking a densely wooded scene is where two friends are going to spend the next few nights. The house is relatively secluded and the nearest highway is over five miles away. The car rolled to a slow stop as the gravel makes the very distinct crumbling sound under the tires. The door opens as the aroma of fresh fall air rushes past your faces. A big wide porch and a tall chimney is the first thing that met there eyes as they walked up the way toward the weekend retreat. A blue jay preens herself on the railing as they make their way past the threshold. One of them says that it's time to get settled in for the night and leaves to gather firewood while the sun is still out. The fire is crackling and the porch swing creeks softly. The fall colors are illuminated tenfold, as the sun slips silently under the distant mountains.
