Heather Boynton

Hi everybody, I am from Gordo, Alabama (Yeah, most people don't know where that is, so don't feel bad.) I play bass. I am by no means an accomplished musician, just learning. Been playing since Oct. '06. My boyfriend and I started Skyline West in January of 2007. Right now I'm not playing with anybody. He is the new guitar player for Tim Graves & Cherokee, so that will be keeping him busy most of the time.
I really miss being able to find material for a band and arrange set lists and all that little stuff that goes on in a group. I am interested in finding an opportunity to promote a group (or groups) and possibly work on some CD and web design. I figure, even if I'm not playing, I can still be doing something. Ideally, I would eventually like to play in a band at the national level with Jody, but until then, I'm looking to improve my playing and get as much work in here as I can.

Somebody who can play everything and sing all harmony parts ; ), originality, personality, sincerity, honesty,... harmony, driving instrumentation, tight performances, REAL basses, loud music, sharp stage outfits, enthusiasm (sincere enthusiasm, not put on), and most of all, being true to who you are.

Smart people acting stupid, people who play out of time or out of tune, arrogant people, stuck up people, rude people, self-absorbed people, people who are unwilling to be themselves and bend over backwards to please the "world"

Playing music, showing horses, listening to music, playing with my dogs (and cats), going to concerts/festivals, and pretty much anything else that me and Jody can do together.

Well, I certainly wish y'all good luck with the band.  Who all is in the band?  I wonder if "Ole Jamo" will be getting on here.  Anyway, I've gotta get off here for now.  Talk at ya later.

I've been on Doyle's BB a lot, just haven't posted much.  things are going to be REALLY busy for Revival Ridge this summer.  We'll be at the Festival of the Bluegrass in June, the Ryman with Ricky Skaggs in July, and just about everywhere in between.  So how about you?  How are things in Gordo?  Is your band playing much?  Good to hear from you.
