OMG! Are you related to me? I am Gloria Jean Hansen, born Kilpling Ontario, near Sudbury. Your info reads so much like mine, except I have 300 bluegrass songs written, none yet accepted by top bands but they are out there being pitched. I have recorded again only locally and from living room studio. I have just moved back near my hometown, written a book on rural roots, and still working as a  community nurse, so have been away from the website for a couple of months. OF COURSE I will add you as a friend. We should do our family trees and see which distant cousins are the same. My grandparents were from Fredricstad Norway.

I have played in a few bands, the longest Maple Ridge out of Thunder Bay, now disbanded. Would love to hear from you again--your music is fantastic, so professional. I have started a bluegrass jammers club here in Elliot Lake where I now live, and will be soon going into elementary schools in the are with a "Back to Bluegrass" program.

Sincerely

Gloria Jean

Hi Charlie, long time no see.  Didn't know your show was on the net, will definitely tune in.  Hope to see you at a festival soon.  Not sure if you checked out the Close to Home website at www.closetohomebluegrassband.com.
