Just a music lover with no musical talent of my own. I like to see young people involved with mountain and bluegrass music and am amazed at just how talented they are. I like acustic instruments and would like to see more bluegrass bands incorporate instruments like the mandolin, autoharp and dulcimer in their music. Bill Monroe's favorite instrument was the mandolin and Rhonda Vincent seems to favor it. I'm afraid, if trends continue, that the fiddle or banjo will soon cease to be staples of bluegrass music.

Female vocalists, especially Rhonda Vincent, Michelle Nixon, The Flat Mountain Girls

Snakes, bad dreams, people who don't listen, elitists and neo-cons

Civil War buff, listening to and collecting music, reading, surfing the internet, building web sites. Check out my new web page www.beforebluegrass.com

Thanks! I fell in love with it the first time I heard the dobro and lost all interest I had in all the other instruments I used to play.  God Bless, and have a wonderful day!
