Old time, traditional bluegrass, and traditional Celtic music.

Civil War non-fiction.

I don't watch very many movies. We've got Clinch Mountain in our back yard and it's much more enjoyable to look at. If I had to choose a movie, I would choose my favorite: Where The Red Fern Grows

I'm just a country boy. I know just enough to know I don't know much. Thanks in advance for visiting our band's website at www.sigeanband.com

Dead cats, 8 pound largemouth bass, ripe watermelons, new guitar strings, clawhammer banjo, smell of wood smoke from the chimney in the winter, uillean pipes, grandchildren's laughter, solid old time, bluegrass, and celtic music. Last, but not least, my beautiful, patient, and near-sighted wife, Sherrye.

Live cats, rap "music", drums in bluegrass bands, rude young people, rude old people, legless reptiles, haybales and wagon wheels on stage behind a bluegrass band, broccoli, spinach, and coconut (ESPECIALLY spinach and coconut), unsweetened tea, and shirts that won't stay tucked in.

Playing the upright bass, clawhammer banjo, and guitar, writing, spending time with the grandkids, gardening, and observing the deer avoid the electric fence surrounding the garden. I also write the Virginia Road column for www.bluegrassroad.com and Rushing To The Stage for Ibluegrass Magazine.

There's a group called "the names", they are ricehouserecords at myspace. I think you might like them, very old time, and Mike has the best clawhammer banjo playing in the area. Kids freaky good. Hope yall get some rain soon. Seems lately there's not enough to go around and some folks are gettin to much.
