i have been in bluegrass music since i was a baby. my mother serenaded me in the womb with a Martin D-35. my parents, sister & myself all play bluegrass. i am a solid bassist & rhythm guitarist. i can go off a bit on the guitar as well. my main bag is the mandolin, but recently i've been messing with the fiddle. i can sing you a jimmy martin tune or twelve. i will sing jimmy martin until you're sick of it, then keep on with it. i could also sing you a pretty decent tenor part or perhaps even a baritone, though the baritone part might take a bit of working up. i have played bluegrass music in bands throughout the country. you might have seen me on stage with Newground, the Blue Mules, the Backwoods Travelers, or Acoustic Ranch Party. i have been fortunate enough to jam with some of my heroes and every jam i get into is a party. i hope to get out there this spring and get into a bunch of them. hell, yeah.

mountains, campfires, moonshine, acoustic instruments, homegrown "veggies", virtuosic musicians, raw-ass singers

windshield-wiper bluegrass: anything that sounds clean, polished & protooled-up. bluegrass with no edge.

i play music and that's about it.
