Cathead,

The upload music is for bands that want to promote their music or sound. All uploaded songs have to be originals or public domain material. If your current band has original material that you want the public to hear, I'd be glad to change your membership type.

Let me know.

Thanks, SkylineWest. I changed my profile to say "Band" weeks ago, but I still can't upload music. Thank you for your time.

The top menu bar is to navigate the entire site, when you click on My Account, you can navigate through your personal items; settings, submitting items, managing items, viewing blogs, etc. The thing about the membership, you have to go to your settings and change your account to a "band" profile, then the administrator will have to update it for you. I set mine to where it does not send me e-mails, that way I can just log in and see if I have any new messages, and click on My Page to see if I have any new comments (it's usually easier to do it that way than having it e-mail you notifications, I've never dealt with one of those that works like it should.)

It's a pretty new site -- pretty much fix as you go right now, but Skip is a nice guy and is making a good-faith effort to get stuff straightened out. You'll get used to the menus. "My Account" is what I click most. How's stuff over at Mixposure? Haven't been there in awhile.  I like it better here. Not so huge and more of a tightly-knit family. And I don't feel like I have to go listen to (and review?) peoples' electronic drum loops and stuff that I'm really not interested in.

It was confusing for me at first and I have experienced the mysterious missing messages you speak of.
