Music: Bluegrass and the instruments we play

Shameless self-promotion for Last Stand and general discussion about the instruments we love.

Lemme see here...  I'm a generation removed and don't know what, if any, etiquette there is for a blog.  Weel, anywho, I reckon I need to check on it more often for one thing.  Last Stand is really getting their chops down.  We've been practicing a lot, we still need a good bass player.  I thought Danny was going jump on board, but I get the impression his loyaties are elsewhere.  We have the CD done except for Roy's parts on a couple of songs and bass tracks on some of them.  I've got the cover art concept and am ready to "get-r-done."

Now, all we need is some more bookings.  There's a local talent agency that took us on, but they said they don't get much call for a bluegrass band.  I don't have a clue how to stir up bookings, it's just not my thing.

One of my guitar students moved to Houston, so I've got to sit down today with a camcorder and make a video for him to continue his lessons.

It's bright and shiny here this morning, I hope it is there too. Later, John.
