Kenny & Amanda Smith Band Nominated for Dove Award
Charlotte, NC – February 14, 2008 - The 39th annual GMA Dove Award Nominations have been released and Gat3 Productions is proud to announce that Gat3 recording artist, The Kenny and Amanda Smith Band, has received a nomination for a 2008 Dove Award. “Tell Someone”, the band’s latest album is nominated in the category of Best Bluegrass Album of the year. Released in January of 2007, “Tell Someone” is the first Gospel album and the third album with label, Rebel Records. The latest release from the band has been widely received by both the Bluegrass and Gospel communities and just recently celebrated a 2008 Grammy nomination. President of Gat3, Glenn A. Tabor III, stated “It could not have happened to more special people. This is the third record I have worked on with Kenny & Amanda, and it was truly a spiritual experience.”
The GMA community consists of 4,000 members including agents, artists, church leaders, managers, promoters, radio personnel, record company executives, retailers, songwriters and other industry visionaries. GMA is dedicated to exposing, promoting and celebrating the gospel through music. The Dove Awards are gospel music’s biggest night, honoring artists from numerous different styles of gospel music. The awards will take place at Nashville’s famed, Grand Ole Opry House, and will be televised, Live, on GMC, April 23, 2008 at 8 p.m. (ET).
