Post subject: New club in Greenock Scotland
  
On Wednesday the 6th of February in the Arts Guild Theatre Greenock at 7.30 in room 3 West Coast Bluegrass will have there first gathering and to kick things of in the style of bluegrass is Scotlands own bluegrass band Goldrush with John Sheldon on Banjo there,ll be some fast picking . i had the honour of picking and singing with John on tuesday 15th January at his home and he also makes a mean pizza and a great coffee. A wee bit about West Coast Bluegrass...... first and formost its a place and venue for like minded people to meet who love bluegrass wether you pick or just want to sit and listen in on a jam or even sing along its there for that if you dont play an instrument .....well on a saturday mornings from 9.00 threw to 12.00 midday lesson,s are availlable for members free of charge on how to play basic 5 string banjo , mandolin and guitar, there will be other instruments as instructers come availlable We plan to meet every second wednesday and when were up and running hope to invite local bluegrass bands along to intertain us local being the uk Maybe in a year or so we could be having a bluegrass fest in Greenock As time goes on i will keep posting updates on how west coast bluegrass is growing and hopefully get to see some of you guys and gals performing at the Arts Guild catch ya later ,..Mark  _________________it aint bluegrass unless you pick it
