started playing lead guitar for country band when I was 16,but my interest was in bluegrass.Played banjo for Leona & Ron Williams when i was 21.In 1977 started my own group,which is now my family group"the barry jones family." I'm blind so i no longer play my banjo,just rythmn guitar.Shared the stage with artists,Bill Monroe,Doyle Lawson,Rhonda Vincent,The Primitives,Don Gibson.Played Silver Dollar City.June of 2002 the barry jones family recieved a proclamation from Missouri State Senate 91st General Assembly for 25 yrs of celebrating & shring God's Love thru Bluegrass Gospel Music. |
