We are a new bluegrass band from the West Alabama / East Mississippi area. The band was formed around the first of this year (2007) and members include:
Jody Elmore - Banjo & Vocals
Heather Boynton - Upright Bass
Andrew Herndon - Lead/Rhythm Guitar & Vocals
Matthew Herndon - Dobro & Vocals
Lynn Reedy - Mandolin & Vocals
Our style is rooted in traditional bluegrass and we strive to maintain the purity of the genre; however, we feel that, in order for that to happen, the music must be allowed to grow. "Growth" for us does not mean abandonment, but rather reflection and adaptation of what is already established. Our group is truly the result of a wealth of different influences, preferences, and styles. As far as categorization goes, I guess you would just have to decide that for yourself after hearing us because as far as we are concerned, we're just BLUEGRASS.
