Sometimes when I play my mandolin in front of an audience I like to imagine I'm Krishna playing his flute for milkmaids. Sometimes when I play by myself I like to imagine I'm dancing Shiva. Whenever I meet with the audience, I sometimes pretend I'm Jesus. I feel this imagery helps me, but ideally I will eventually no longer need it, as I will be able to behave rightly automatically. Not many people seem to hold this attitude concerning their religious practices. I'm a Gender Studies major. As a result, wherever I go, I'm always noticing people's gender. I try not to treat them accordingly though. Often they are shocked and/or repulsed by this, and treat ME like a pervert. I'm a vegan that sometimes eats cheese, but doesn't intentionally purchase it. Someday I would like to be in a band named either "The Debutante's Ball", "Daisy Belle", or "The Antietam Aristocrats". Ideally, each member would have an improvised break on each song. I believe the difference between playing improvised music and playing premeditated music is like the difference between Karma Yoga and Japa Yoga. I'm also a Yogi. I tend not to care for things that are painful or unpleasant. I'm very kind and I really want to be friends with you! Feel free to email me whatever you like.
