Bluegrass Gospel, Classical and "old" country. I basically like about any type of music except rap (which isn't music but is bad poetry set to rhythm).

I am a full-time evangelist. I teach music (guitar, piano, banjo, mandolin, voice, violin) and travel with my bluegrass gospel group "Revival Ridge".

GOOD Bluegrass Gospel music and people who "truly" love Jesus. I get a "kick" out of traveling and love to explore new places.

"Mountain" and "pick-up band" style of bluegrass. Also "country" and "bar" songs that people try to pass for bluegrass.

Music, preaching. What else is there? Oh yeah, I also love to camp and hike.

Howdy, Paul!

Thanks for agreeing with my add rquest!

It was a pleasure to hear your show on WolrdWideBluegrass.com and it is wonderful that you helped Jonathan get his show onto the ether-waves there!

By the way, Revival Ridge always wins in Jonathan's "Battle of the Bands" portion of his programs!!

No, "Mountain" Gospel is good stuff.  I'm not a fan of the "through the nose" singing style of some bands.  I am not a Ralph Stanley fan at all.  The Stanley Brothers, now that's a different story.  But not Ralph by himself.  My family is from Southeastern Kentucky so I grew-up listening to bluegrass and "mountain" music.  But the music I listened to sounded nothing like the "mountain" style of today.  I think, sometimes, in an effort to have a particular sound, bands will try to "fake" their way into sounding more "country".  THAT's the kind of stuff I'm talking about.

Wow! I hope "Mountain" Gospel isn't a turn off. I enjoyed the song you uploaded. Great message.  Please, visit my page and listen to my group's songs and let me know what you think. We have been told often that we have a mountain Gospel/Gospel Bluegrass sound. We dont call it Mountain, it just is what it is I guess.
