| ABOUT ME |
I started playing piano in church as a kid...I'm one of those ornery PK's! Learned to sing listening to the quartets of the 50's. Became a lifelong Oak Ridge Boy fan and am priviledged to be friends with them, especially Joe Bonsall. Along the way I learned to love country music and bluegrass. After high school I played for a few local gospel quartets.
Then in 1983 I got a job playing bass guitar with Grandpa Jones. That job fullfilled my dream of playing on the Grand Ole Opry. I was on Hee Haw a couple times and also played the Ralph Emery Nashville Now show several times with Grandpa. I stayed with Grandpa for three years and then started my own Gospel group.
I now play piano for the Branson Brothers in Branson, MO. I also have a radio show that is syndicated to 14 stations around the country. My partner and I, Mark Withers, do the one hour per week Gospel Bluegrass show. |
