My name is Betty and my husband is Hank. We are originally from Logan, WVa. Almost Heaven!!! Yes,We are Christians and we love Jesus Christ foremost! We play and sing bluegrass gospel in church and with friends. He plays Banjo, Mandolin and Guitar. I play a left-handed Martin guitar, harmonica and an Autoharp We have been traveling the festivals since the early 70's. We have made many good friends. We don't get to go to many anymore but attend as many as we can. Have always considered Charlie Waller & The Country Gentlemen and Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, Don Reno and his boys and Carl & Judie Pagter among our most special friends. We have lost quite a few good friends but as long as we have their music preserved, they will always be with us. There is no music on earth as great as Bluegrass and down home gospel. It really feeds your soul. Theres no other kind of fans who will go through what we do to enjoy our music, such as setting in the rain, bogged down in mud, etc. I hope this GRASSspace will be a huge success and will always be a family place for Bluegrass folks.

Good Bluegrass and DOWNHOME gospel music, Southern cooking, and chocolate.

people dancing to gospel music at a festival and also people dancing in front of the stage blocking peoples views.

pickin' and grinnin', computering,Geneology,crocheting

Hi, My name is Randy Conley, Ann's husband.  Thought you'd like to know Boge is the son of Garland, who was married to Elizabeth Farley, daughter of Captain Henry Farley.  They were among the first settlers in Logan County.  Garland's mother, Suzannah Conley, married Richard Chapman in 1798.  It's on record in what is now Blacksburg, Virginia.  The Chapmans settled Chapmansville West Virginia fifteen miles from Logan.  No one has been able to find out who Garlands father was.  Suzannah was a widow....  There, the family trail seems to stop.  Would you happen to have any additional information?  ------a note from Ann....  Randy was all excited when he heard you are related to the Conley's  :-)   You can e-mail us directly, if you like at:   Ann_Conley@hotmail.com

Thanks very much - Randy and Ann
